Braman Hill Recreation Area  (10001 E. Melkild Rd., Northport, MI)

Description:
Braman Hill Recreation Area is a year-round recreation area. It comprises over 65 acres of land located at 10001 E. Melkild Rd., west of Northport. The recreational amenities include 2 tennis and 4 pickleball courts, a basketball court, a skating park and ice rink, sledding hills, hiking trails, a tot lot, a shooting range, and a warming house with bathrooms.  A scenic viewing area is located at the top of the hill with a fire ring and picnic tables. Security cameras monitor outdoor areas. Outdoor community events are often conducted at the facility.

Buster Dame Recreational Field (721 Ransom St. Northport)

Service Area: Leelanau Township

Description:
The Buster Dame Field is located at 721 Ransom Street in Northport. The recreational amenities include a ball field with a concession stand and bathrooms, 2 pickleball courts, bleachers, irrigation system and drinking fountain. A new dog park has just been added.

Christmas Cove Beach (E. Christmas Cove Rd. near N. Island View Dr., Northport, MI)

Service Area: Leelanau Township

Description:
The Christmas Cove Park is located at the end of Christmas Cove Road on Island View Drive. It contains approximately 200 feet of beach frontage along the shore of Lake Michigan. The recreational amenities include the beach, picnic tables, restroom facilities, and a parking lot.

Omena Beach (Omena Point Rd., Omena, MI)

Service Area: Leelanau Township

Description:
The Omena Beach facility, with approximately 100 feet of waterfront, is located on Omena Point Rd. in the Village of Omena. It provides public access to Omena Bay for swimming and sunbathing, picnic tables, and playground equipment. There is an unpaved parking lot and restroom across Omena Point Rd.

Peterson Park (10001 E Peterson Park Rd., Northport, MI )

Service Area: Leelanau Township

Description:
Peterson Park is located at 10001 E. Peterson Park Rd. It provides public access to approximately 1000 feet of beach on Lake Michigan and offers a viewing platform, stairway to the beach, a pavilion, playground equipment, picnic tables, grills, a volleyball area, restroom facilities, and a paved parking lot.

Leelanau State Park, located at the tip of the little finger on the beautiful Leelanau Peninsula, has more than 1,550 acres waiting for visitors to explore.

The park is home to the Grand Traverse Lighthouse Museum, a rustic campground, mini cabins, the park’s trail system (also known as Cathead Bay trails), an interactive playground and a picnic area with a pavilion.
